  Flexo Press Operator (All Shifts and Locations)

Diversified Labeling Solutions, Inc., a leading manufacturer of adhesive based labels, is currently seeking Flexographic Press Operators to join our 1st and 2nd shift teams. We have four production facilities in the U.S. that support local, national and international accounts (Itasca, IL – Duluth, GA – Arlington, TX – Reno, NV).

Key Responsibilities

  • Proficiently set-up, adjust and operate a flexographic press with minimal direct supervision
  • Perform all make-ready tasks associated with the press
  • Read and review job order and understand processes required for production
  • Continuously monitor finished material on press, making necessary color or press adjustments to meet quality standards
  • Work as part of a team that is committed to producing a quality product and meeting company objectives in a safe and clean working environment
  • Willingness to cross-train and perform the work of other job tasks as necessary
  • Prolonged standing with the ability to lift up to 70 lbs

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience operating flexographic printing presses
  • Ink mixing, plate mounting and support experience
  • Ability to consistently produce product within customer specifications, with minimal number of production errors
  • Excellent trouble shooting skills in a manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated ability to be a self-starter and self-directed
  • Good communication skills
  • Willingness to work overtime hours as needed to meet customer requirements

  • Convert larger rolls of pressure sensitive materials into smaller diameter rolls (Finisher)
  • Repair or edit individual rolls of pressure sensitive materials (Finisher)
  • Assist Printing Press Operators as necessary to produce quality product (Helper)
  • Operate equipment in an efficient manner in compliance with company safety practices
  • Ensure that product quality meets or exceeds company standards

Key Responsibilities

  • Stage raw material and supplies for each machine following production schedule and work order specifications
  • Maintain ink and shop floor consumable inventories
  • Collect and restock items partially used on production run
  • Utilize company software to maintain accurate inventory records
  • Assist machine operators with equipment set-up
  • Maintenance of overall shop floor, including organization and cleanliness
  • Safely operate automated material handling equipment, including forklift and pallet jack

 

Qualifications

  Warehouse Project Associate

Diversified Labeling Solutions, Inc. (DLS) has an exciting new position open for a Project Associate at its Itasca, Illinois location. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with great attention to detail, the ability to multi-task, good communication skills and the drive to have an impact on a growing division in the labeling industry.

 

Companies with large, automated distribution centers require a system of barcoded labels and signs that work in concert with their Warehouse Management System, in order to allow them to effectively store and fulfill product. DLS offers a complete program that provides consultation, project scope, imaged labels and signs as well as on-site installation and project management. The Project Associate will play a key role in the development of business along with management of a distribution center project from initial concept through final execution.

 

Key Responsibilities:

· Analyzing customer projects and obtaining additional information required to provide an accurate and complete warehouse labeling/signage solution.

· Providing estimates for customer projects that include labels, signs, magnets and installation services.

· Maintaining communication between customers and suppliers regarding important details and timelines for projects.

· Manipulating Microsoft Excel data files to ensure that the sequence of print will accommodate the most efficient installation process.

· Creating and modifying proofs of finished product designs for customer orders.

· Producing, sending and receiving purchase orders to suppliers for any outsourced products and services.

· Occasionally traveling to potential and current customer job sites to act as a line of support for projects.

· Providing product line samples to customers with warehouse labeling opportunities.

· Attending trade shows and following up on leads.

 

The Project Associate will investigate and understand customers’ project needs and provide responses in a timely manner. A constant line of communication between all internal departments, customers and suppliers is key to ensure all important details are properly accounted for. The ability to identify and react to any issues that may arise throughout the course of a project is important for this role.

 

Requirements for this position:

· A 4-year college degree with a business related major preferred.

· 3 to 5 years of experience working in a customer service, business development, inside sales or project management role.

· Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, in particular Excel, and adaptable to other computer software.

· The ability to take on multiple projects at any given time while maintaining attention to detail.

· The ability to interact with prospects and customers in a business development manner.

· The ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.

  Senior Accountant (Itasca, IL)

Diversified Labeling Solutions, Inc. (DLS), a leading manufacturer of adhesive based labels, is currently seeking a Senior Accountant to handle both general accounting and cost accounting responsibilities.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform monthly closing activities including analysis of accounts and preparation of journal entries
  • Analyze monthly variance accounts including purchase price variance and manufacturing variance
  • Review closed jobs daily and collaborate with plant operations to ensure accurate job costing
  • Analyze and update raw material and finished goods standard costs
  • Reconcile inventory subledgers to the General Ledger and make related journal entries
  • Prepare quarterly and yearly schedules for external auditors
  • Review monthly cost of sales and gross margins by plant, product line and customer
  • Assist in other areas of accounting as needed

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 1-3 years of manufacturing accounting experience
  • High degree of mathematical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required, ERP experience preferred
  • Knowledge of general accounting principles
  • Ability to present complex analysis with clarity
  • Self-driven, problem solver

  Customer Service Representative (Duluth, GA)

Diversified Labeling Solutions, Inc. (DLS) is currently seeking an experienced Label/Printing Industry Customer Service Representative to join our team. This position offers the right candidate the opportunity to be a key player in the DLS customer experience.

 

We are looking for an outgoing individual with excellent communication skills, experience providing exceptional customer service and the ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Act as liaison to advocate for customers internally regarding issues and requests
  • Respond in a professional, thoughtful manner to customers regarding any order inquiries, concerns or corrections via email and phone
  • Review and enter orders manually into ERP system, working closely with other departments to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Review final work orders for accuracy and clarity prior to release for production
  • Provide pre-order information; such as current stock levels, lead times, pricing and freight quotes
  • Provide post-order information; such as status updates and shipping documentation
  • Coordinate expedites, order revisions and purchase order clarification between the customer and various internal departments
  • Supply post-shipment documentation to accounting for invoicing
  • Research shipping discrepancies and coordinate corrections with carrier
  • Other duties as identified

  Order Processing Specialist (Itasca, IL)

  • Review and enter orders manually into ERP system, working closely with Customer Service, Scheduling and Estimating departments to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Obtain and verify all customers' names, addresses, shipping instructions and billing information, part numbers, pricing and specifications of materials prior to entry
  • Review final work order for accuracy and clarity prior to release to production
  • Assist with customer service as needed
  • Continuous education of all aspects of printing industry
