This position offers the right candidate the opportunity to be a key member of the plant management team and is responsible for the overall success of the plant’s shipping, receiving, inventory control, material handling and freight services operations, ensuring effective practices are in place to achieve operational excellence.

Pay Range:

$75,000 to $85,000, annually

\Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, manage, mentor and assist the warehouse staff to meet predetermined targets while ensuring safety, accuracy, efficiencies and an excellent customer experience
• Manage plant inventory control functions, ensuring accurate inventory records are maintained and materials are handled in compliance with quality related standards
• Manage shipping, receiving and material handling strategies in alignment with company objectives, while implementing process improvements and driving efficiencies
• Ensure that all transactions are processed properly and on time, including troubleshooting transactional issues within the ERP
• Measure and report on the effectiveness of warehousing activities and employee performance
• Actively participate in the EH&S initiatives and ensure departmental compliance
• Other projects/duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years warehouse and shipping management experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong understanding of warehouse management and inventory control principles with a keen attention to detail
• Effective people management skills, with the ability to mentor and motivate staff to a higher level of performance
• High level of critical thinking, sound decision making and problem-solving skills
• Self-motivated with strong communication and organizational skills
• Proficient computer skills (ERP, Microsoft Suite, etc.)

Essential Job Functions:

• Act as liaison to advocate for customers internally regarding issues and requests
• Respond in a professional, thoughtful manner to customers regarding any order inquiries, concerns or corrections via email and phone
• Review and enter complex orders into the ERP system, working closely with other departments to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Review final work orders for accuracy and clarity prior to release for production
• Provide pre-order information; such as current stock levels, lead times, pricing and freight quotes
• Provide post-order information; such as status updates and shipping documentation
• Coordinate expedites, order revisions and purchase order clarification between the customer and various internal departments
• Supply post-shipment documentation to accounting for invoicing
• Research shipping discrepancies and coordinate corrections with carrier
• Other duties as identified

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years in a manufacturing customer service role required
• Label industry and/or printing experience highly desired
• Excellent listening and communication skills
• Ability to multi-task effectively with a keen attention to detail
• Solid organization and follow-up skills
• Strong math aptitude
• Reliable work ethic
• Strong team player and hands-on learner with a positive attitude
• Working knowledge of common computer programs, including the Microsoft Office Suite

Diversified Labeling Solutions, Inc. (DLS) is currently seeking an Ink Technician to join our Itasca, IL production team. This position offers the right candidate the opportunity to be a key player in the DLS manufacturing process. This is a dynamic position that is very challenging and rewarding for someone who enjoys a fast paced, quality-oriented environment.

Pay Range:

$21.00 to $32.00 per hour, depending on experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare inks for use in production, making fine judgements about color and blending, to achieve desired color and quality standards
• Color matching, using color guides and equipment, ensuring accuracy and consistency
• Inventory management, including maintaining accurate inventory records, organized and proper storage of inks and solvents, and the appropriate disposal of hazardous waste
• Work as part of a team that is committed to producing a quality product and meeting company objectives in a safe and clean working environment
• Willingness to cross-train and perform the work of other job tasks as necessary
• Prolonged standing with the ability to lift up to 70 lbs
• Other duties as assigned to meet team objectives

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of ink technician experience with a firm understanding of ink chemistry, color theory, and printing processes
• Adequate visual color discrimination
• Demonstrated math aptitude, including application of formulas
• Ability to consistently produce product within customer specifications, with minimal number of errors
• Excellent trouble shooting skills in a manufacturing environment
• Demonstrated ability to be a self-starter and self-directed
• Good communication skills
• Willingness to work overtime hours as needed to meet customer requirements

Job Functions/Requirements:
 

• Source supplies and materials from multiple vendors, ensuring compliance with specifications while optimizing cost and availability
• Prepare and submit purchase orders for various materials, outsourced items, and capital equipment, adhering to customer specifications and company policies
• Monitor receipts and invoices for accuracy, resolving discrepancies as needed
• Track material in transit, ensure timely delivery, and communicate changes in delivery schedules
• Handle claims with suppliers and freight carriers for defective or missing materials
• Collaborate with the Accounts Payable team and vendors to resolve invoice issues
• Utilize ERP systems and Excel to analyze data and provide reports to stakeholders
• Maintain proper documentation of all procurement activities
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal teams
• Stay informed about supply chain functions and support related areas when necessary

Diversified Labeling Solutions, Inc. (DLS) is seeking an Accounting Manager to join our Itasca, IL finance team. This leadership position will be responsible for the day to day management of the people and processes of an established accounting department.

Pay Range:

$95,000 - $110,000 annually, depending on experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct and coordinate accounting operational functions while managing a staff of accounting professionals
• Manage the daily accounting functions of Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Cash and Costing
• Coordinate and manage various monthly, quarterly and annual accounting processes, such as month and year-end close and external auditor activities, including journal entry and work paper review
• Effectively complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Ensure compliance with local, state and federal financial requirements, including sales tax reporting for certain states
• Oversee and reconcile inter-company accounts
• Compile and provide monthly financial package to various stakeholders
• Continually evaluate current accounting operations and internal controls, offering recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes as necessary
• Effectively provide comprehensive financial updates to the Controller by evaluating and reporting appropriate data points
• Other duties as assigned to meet team objectives

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• A minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years supervisory experience
• Manufacturing and/or public accounting experience a plus
• Experience with ERP systems and month-end close
• Cost accounting aptitude a plus
• High degree of mathematical aptitude, attention to detail and organization
• High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• High degree of general accounting principles knowledge with a strong work ethic
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex analysis with clarity
• Proficient computer skills (ERP, Microsoft Suite, etc.)
